  OBJECTIVES of the IMRCI

  • To conduct research, clinical audit and other activities which will inform care decisions, standards and provision in musculoskeletal health.
     
  • To participate in multidisciplinary and multiprofessional musculoskeletal health research collaborations.
     
  • To investigate health technology issues relating to the organisation of integrated care for patients with common musculoskeletal problems, with special reference to those with high social and economic impact.
     
  • To investigate the problems and effects of implementing evidence-based practice in the musculoskeletal field.
     
  • To undertake musculoskeletal health research in such areas as: prevention of disabilities, identification of mechanisms, determinants of health, effectiveness and cost-effectiveness, natural history of disorders, quality assurance and risk assessment.
