Manipulation Services for NHS Patients: Precedents and Future Models for Provision.
Langworthy J, Breen A, Vogel S, Collier R, Sutherland G. (2000) ISBN 0-9538949-1-6

To assist with planning future NHS services for people with musculoskeletal problems, this study examined the past and current levels of provision of services for NHS patients by practitioners qualified in manipulation immediately prior to the end of fundholding. 3,840 chiropractors, osteopaths and manipulation physiotherapists were surveyed. The results reveal the extent and nature of previous provision and practitioners' views about optimal models for the future. The work was done by a collaboration of researchers from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, the British School of Osteopathy and the School of Physiotherapy at Southampton University.
